Andrea grew up horse crazy to the dismay of her non-horsey parents. She spent her childhood tearing around on a little white pony, eventually joining 4-H and showing all the events. She worked her way through 4-H and open shows, taking a couple year break to race chuckwagons, then eventually started showing breed shows and achieved her childhood dream of becoming a world champion.

In her free time, Andrea enjoys boating, Harley rides, dirt biking, snow skiing, flying, helping on her family farm, traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband Taylor. Professionally, she’s a Team Leader for the Microbiology/Chemistry Quality Control team at Zoetis, an animal health company in Charles City, Iowa.

She currently mostly shows in all the Ranch classes along with some Showmanship and Horsemanship. She also likes the Pleasure and the Hunter under saddle classes but if she had to pick her favorite, It would have to be the Ranch Riding, with Western Riding being a close second. She loves the different parts of the patterns and the connection  between the horse and rider to execute each maneuver. She looks forward to serving on the board!
